Championship to restart on June 20 with Brentford v Fulham derby

The Championship season will restart on June 20.

Brentford's west London derby against Fulham will kickoff the resumption before Leeds United face Cardiff a day later.

That opening clash could have huge ramifications for the promotion race, given Fulham, in third, will need a win against the fourth-placed Bees to keep up with Leeds, who are seven points clear.

West Brom, second, will then face Birmingham at 3pm on the Saturday in the second televised game of the day before Leeds' clash on Sunday, reports the Daily Mail.

Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds, who are hoping to end a 16-year spell outside of the Premier League by winning promotion, will play Cardiff at 12pm.

Every side in the Championship has nine games left to play of the regular season before the play-offs at the start of August, with matches to take place behind closed doors.
