Tottenham winger Nacer Chadli has revealed that he hadn't heard of his teammate Harry Kane before his move to White Hart Lane in 2013.

Kane has become one of the most prolific strikers in the Premier League since then but Belgium international Chadli admits he knew nothing of the 22-year-old upon his arrival in North London.

"He's a complete striker, a good team-mate and a great guy," Chadli told FourFourTwo.

"He's strong on the ball, good in the air, a great finisher and dangerous from the edge of the box. He helps the other players, too; he helps defensively, plays good passes and can hold up the ball.

"Before I came to Tottenham I hadn't heard of him. As soon as I started to train with him, I could see he had a lot of quality – he just had to show it in matches.

"Now everybody knows him."
