Cerny agrees to QPR contract extension

QPR have secured the services of goalkeeper Radek Cerny for a further season.

The 37-year old has been at Loftus Road since 2008 and will now stay on for at least next season as the R's get ready for their time in the Premier League.

Cerny was set to cut short a family holiday to sign the deal but manager Neil Warnock insisted that he stay away on vacation before returning to London to put pen to paper.

"Radek's been great back-up for Rangers - and he deserves this extension to his contract," Warnock told the Ealing Gazette.

"It says something he was willing to come all the way back here to sort it now.

"But I've told him he needs to enjoy the break and he can sign when he gets back."
