Cenk Tosun happy he missed Crystal Palace move: Everton much bigger

Everton striker Cenk Tosun admits he was close to joining Crystal Palace last summer.

Tosun has suddenly hit the goals trail at Everton, having signed in January from Besiktas.

He told TRT Spor: "Crystal Palace wanted me at the beginning of the season, but that did not happen, luckily, because I'm playing for a bigger club in the Premier League.

"I wanted to go to the Premier League, it's the NBA of the football world, it's the fastest, strongest league with the most expensive players, and I wanted to play in the Premier League as a small kid.

"For the time being, I want to stay in England, Everton is a traditional club, we have to play every year in Europe, and that's what I want to do with Everton."
