Cagliari goalkeeper Federico Marchetti remains hopeful of moving to England.
Datasport says Celtic have proposed to take Marchetti on loan with an option to buy for £5m.
But Marchetti would prefer to wait for an offer from the Premier League.
He was said to be of interest for Arsenal, Aston Villa and others.
