Celtic have made a £1.5 million bid for Newcastle United goalkeeper Fraser Forster.
The Scottish Sun says Hoops boss Neil Lennon has decided that Scottish Cup winner Forster can nail down the No 1 jersey in the long term.
The 6ft 4ins ace made a big impression at Parkhead last season - claiming a stunning 24 shut-outs from 44 games, including three against Rangers.
The Geordie, 23, who ended his spell at Celtic with the last day Hampden showpiece triumph over Motherwell, loved his time with the club before returning to an uncertain future at St James' Park.
Forster's dream is to become Magpies No 1 and he has still has three years of his deal left. But he also doesn't want to end up the forgotten man again.
