Celtic forward Georgios Samaras has reportedly rebuffed a big-money deal from Rubin Kazan.
Reports emanating in Samaras' homeland of Greece have suggested that the Russian club offered the soon-to-be 29-year old a stunning three-year, £60,000-a-week deal.
Rubin were hoping to secure Samaras before the Russian transfer window closes next Thursday as he is out of contract at Celtic this summer but the former Manchester City man has opted to remain in Glasgow.
Varying reports believe that Samaras does not want to disrupt his preparations for the World Cup where he will compete against Colombia, Ivory Coast and Japan in Group C of the Brazil tournament.
It is also suggested that Samaras is keen to help the Hoops win a third successive Scottish title before he departs at the end of the season.
