Celtic's Brown urges outsiders to look past Lennon's fury

Celtic captain Scott Brown insists manager Neil Lennon is a lot more than just fire and brimstones.

Many outsiders see the Northern Irishman as a fiery competitor who has a short fuse but midfielder Brown made it quite clear that the former Hoops star has a lot of qualities not always seen on the surface.

"People don't like his fiery character but that is what makes Neil Neil," Brown said.

"There is much more to him than that.

"He speaks very well, be it to the press or to the players.

"He knows what he's talking about and I think you only have to be in his company for a very short time to appreciate that. He is very articulate and good at getting his point across.

"He can get angry and frustrated. Of course he can. But he is also a manager who knows how to get the best out of his players. "Getting through to the last 16 of the Champions League should tell you that."
