Celtic's Aussie Irvine makes Kilmarnock debut

Jackson Irvine was immediately part of Kilmarnock's starting line-up on the weekend following his loan move from Celtic.

The 20-year old Australian, who joined Killie on a six-month loan last week, played a full 90 minutes as his new club drew 1-1 with St Mirren in Paisley.

Irvine was deployed in midfield as Killie drew first blood through Kris Boyd in the 49th minute before the star striker was shown a red card in the 62nd minute, just before Gary Harkins' 65th minute equaliser.

Kilmarnock now sit seventh on the Scottish Premier League table ahead of next weekend's visit of ninth-placed Hibernian.
