Celtic midfielder Matt Riley: I've played for England - but I feel Danish

Celtic's English midfielder Matt Riley has opened the door to committing his international future to Denmark.'

Riley left MK Dons for Celtic this season and qualifies for Denmark thanks to his mother.

He told the Glasgow Times: "I've been thinking about the World Cup. I will not lie about that. That is definitely one of my major goals, I would say. I feel it is possible now. I play for a club like Celtic now and I do not think that is out of the question.

"There is still a long way to go for me to be able to get into a big squad, so we have to see. In relation to choosing a country, it is still really early, since I have not played for Denmark yet.

"I have played for England's youth national team, but at the same time I feel quite Danish. My mother is Danish and I can talk a lot and understand a lot.

"That way, I do not think it is out of the question. If I were to be selected for Denmark, I do not think I would say no."
