Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou is showing serious interest in signing Tottenham youngster Cameron Carter-Vickers.
The United States international spent the last season out on loan at Bournemouth.
According to the Daily Record, the Cherries and Newcastle United are both interested in signing him.
However, the 6ft centre-back, who has a value of £5 million, is the subject of serious interest from Celtic.
The source claims talks between Celtic and Spurs are already underway.
A well-placed source said: "Cameron is looking for a new challenge and a few clubs are interested.
"Celtic and Bournemouth are the most serious right now. He's looking to get something sorted as soon as he can with the season just around the corner."
