Celtic have won the race to sign Polish striker Pawel Brozek on loan from Trabzonspor for the rest of the season.
The Hoops managed to beat Old Firm rivals Rangers for the 28-year old Poland international but manager Neil Lennon insists there was no foul play in regards to securing his signature.
"I'm not saying we've nipped in, because we've been tracking him for quite a while. We've been following him for a long time. We try to keep things under the radar.
"Did I think he was going to Rangers? I don't get involved with the agents and negotiations.
"We identify players, I've got a list as long as your arm, and we're ticking them off.
"This one has come to fruition and we're very, very pleased about that.
"Pawel is a bit like Gary Hooper, sharp with good feet, 5ft 10in, he knows where the goal is.
"He's a family man too, so I don't think the bright lights of Glasgow will faze him.""I know Rangers were interested, but we have been involved with players before where Rangers have nipped in," he said.
