Magnus Okuonghae has emerged as a transfer target for Scottish champions Celtic according to recent reports.
The 26-year old former Colchester United captain, who is available as a free agent, is attracting interest from plenty of clubs including relegated Premier League clubs Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers, as well as Championship outfits Millwall, Charlton Athletic, Derby County and Sheffield Wednesday.
Now the Hoops have joined the queue but it has been confirmed that Colchester have offered the defender a new contract to remain with the U's.
"We have been contacted by a few clubs and Magnus will be considering his options over the coming weeks," his agent Leon Callendar told Sky Sports.
