Celtic have an option for Leicester City defender Filip Benkovic.

Hoops boss Neil Lennon desperately needs to sign a new centre-half after Christopher Jullien was ruled out for the next four months.

The Scottish Sun says the Hoops have drawn up a list of loan options with Parkhead sources describing Benkovic as “a possibility".

As yet Celts have NOT approached the Foxes about any potential deal.

However, ex-boss Brendan Rodgers is eager for the Croat stopper to find a different club during the January transfer window after his stint with Cardiff was cut short.

And the Northern Irishman has made it known he would be more than happy if Benkovic, 23, opted for a return to Celts.
