Celtic have confirmed Finland coach Stuart Baxter will not take a role at Parkhead, following talks with the Finnish FA. FA chief Kimmo Lipponen said it was impossible for Baxter to work with Celtic on a part-time basis, leading the Bhoys into a swift climb-down.
"As agreed with the Finnish FA, following further discussions, Stuart will not take up any formal position with Celtic," read a club statement on their official website.
"We would like to take the opportunity to wish Stuart and the Finnish FA every success in their forthcoming European Championship campaign."
