Celtic captain Scott Brown had good things to say about Brendan Rodgers, despite the manager's departure from the club.

Many at Celtic are furious at how Rodgers essentially snuck away in the middle of the night to complete a move to Leicester City.

But Brown was honest about his feelings towards Rodgers, who helped the club win several key trophies.

"It shows the lads' quality throughout 90 minutes and plus, over the last couple of days, losing a top quality manager after the last two and a half years," he said to reporters after their win against Hearts in the Premiership.

"What he's done has been fantastic for this club and he's left us in a great position. We just have to push on now with another fantastic manager."
