Celtic boss Mowbray waiting for Spurs to call about Boruc

Celtic boss Tony Mowbray has dismissed talk of a move to Tottenham for goalkeeper Artur Boruc.

Mogga hailed £8million-rated Boruc amid speculation of a January bid from Spurs. Mowbray says he hasn't heard from Harry Redknapp and hopes the phone doesn't ring.

He said: "Artur is a top goalkeeper but if Tottenham were to be interested, Harry would have phoned.

"Harry normally picks up the phone to other managers and asks the question. Artur works extremely hard in training every day.

"A lot of that has to do with the respect he has from his coach and the respect he has from the other keepers.

"He is a top keeper and he also works hard to maintain the standards he sets himself. Goalkeepers can be a bit of a law unto themselves but Artur knows what he needs to do to maintain standards."
