Celtic boss Lennon rates Motherwell win as best home performance

Neil Lennon felt his Celtic side produced their best performance at Celtic Park when they beat Motherwell 3-0 on Saturday.

Kris Commons netted a double and Stephen McManus scored an own-goal as the Hoops extended their lead at the top of the Scottish Premier League to 13 points and the manner of the victory was something that sat well with a proud manager.

"That's the best we've played at home this season. You've got to give Motherwell credit too," said Lennon who lost Anthony Stokes to a red card in the 80th minute.

"Our attacking play was sensational at times and Motherwell found it very difficult to cope with us.

"It was a brilliant atmosphere, I thought crowd were brilliant and I really enjoyed the whole afternoon."
