Celtic boss Deila eyeing Rangers in Scottish League Cup

Celtic manager Ronny Deila has one eye on a potential Old Firm derby with Rangers in the Scottish League Cup.

The Hoops take on Championship side Heart of Midlothian in the Round of 16 of the league cup on Wednesday and if they win, will move into the quarter-finals.

Glasgow rivals Rangers, also currently in Scotland's second tier, play Falkirk on Tuesday night which would also place them into the final eight if they are successful and could quite possibly set up a clash with Celtic.

The fierce enemies have not played each other since April 2012 and Deila admits it is exciting to think about the possibility of another derby even though it would fall in a cup competition.

"We would love to play Rangers. It is a big game. I haven't seen so much of Rangers so we will see if the game does come," the Bhoys boss said.

"Everybody is waiting for an Old Firm game and that's what we want."
