Celta Vigo striker Iago Aspas has denied making a racial slur at a Levante player during their clash.

Celta have released a statement in which Aspas denies having called a Levante midfielder "black s**t," after racism accusations following Sunday's clash between the teams.

Pione Sisto's winner was decisive but many of the post-match headlines were taken up by the accusations from Jefferson Lerma.

"What is said on the pitch, stays on the pitch," Aspas said in a statement from the club.

"That's why I won't repeat what he said to me.

"In any case, I didn't call him what he says I called him."
