Celta Vigo midfielder Brais Mendez as a potential replacement has accepted a call from Spain.

He has come back from his holiday in Mykonos amid Euro doubts over Barcelona midfielder Sergi Busquets. The call from the RFEF told him to come as soon as possible to join training.

Brais Mendez debuted under Luis Enrique in 2018 and can cover various midfield and attack positions.

He will likely be a sub during the tournament but could come on to add attacking freshness.
