Cech wants Chelsea to tighten up at set-pieces

Chelsea goalkeeper Peter Cech has admitted the team needs to tighten up defensively at set-pieces.

The Blues have conceded six of their eight goals against them from set-piece situations this season and Cech understands just how costly it has been.

"In the last two away games, we've conceded three goals from set plays so we need to get our discipline with marking and avoid these goals because they can be costly," Cech said.

"At the moment we are a little bit unlucky as well, but we know we have to pay more attention and have better concentration next time."

Cech added that the midweek Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid was a good chance for the Blues to bounce back after the weekend's loss to Aston Villa.

"We have another game on Wednesday (against Atlético Madrid at Stamford Bridge in the Champions League group stage) and then Blackburn at home and we need to make sure we win those games," he added.
