Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech feels that defensive solidity inspired the Gunners to claim an impressive 2-0 win at Southampton.
The Gunners went into the game, on the back of one win in last five away games, needing a win to keep their top-four hopes alive. Cech played a crucial part in the win as he made two important saves in the first half.
"Of course, I'm happy to contribute," Cech said after the match. "I thought it was their best spell - they had two chances and when you keep a clean sheet, it's been very difficult for them to break us.
"When you have that feeling that one goal will do it, you play with more confidence.
"I think it will give us a hope, because if we keep the pressure on the other teams, maybe they will have an unlucky game or drop points somewhere.
"We need to make sure we are ready to take advantage of that.
"We concentrate on our games, we go game-by-game and we have to win all of them to give ourselves a chance. Then we will see what happens."
