Petr Cech could return to Chelsea once his playing career is over – as a sporting director.

The Blues' director Marina Granovskaia is determined to continue the integration of a number of players from the club's heydays having already assigned duties to Didier Drogba, Joe Cole, and Paulo Ferreira.

Cech would take on the role of sporting director and deal mainly with transfers but Granovskaia will still have the final say over any decisions.

Czech goalkeeper's son Damian is part of Chelsea's lower age groups of players which makes the return of his father to the Stamford Bridge even more likely.

Interestingly, Cech will play his final game against his old club in an attempt to win his last trophy by defending Arsenal goal in the Europa League final on May 29 in Baku.
