Edinson Cavani has signed a new contract with Palermo.

Rosanero president Maurizio Zamparini confirmed the agreement yesterday.

"Yes, he has signed a renewal with a release clause similar to those of big-name players," Zamparini told Palermo24.net.

When asked how much interested parties would have to pay to exercise that release clause, Zampa said: "The clause is in place in order to free him up, but only if they give me €25m in cash."
