Edinson Cavani says he's ready to play for Napoli.

Cavani hopes to make his Napoli debut in the Europa League against Elfsborg this week.

"My fitness is visibly improving every day, even if I'm not 100 per cent, but I am counting on being ready for the match with Elfsborg," said the Uruguayan.

He was presented to the fans at the Stadio San Paolo before their 2-1 friendly win over Wolfsburg.

"That night gave me goosebumps. I felt extraordinary sensations. I would've loved to play, but it was not possible, so I kept that strong desire to perform for this crowd and repay their passion."
