Cauley Woodrow had mixed emotions after making his Premier League debut for Fulham in defeat at Cardiff City.
The 19-year-old striker was only given a squad number on Friday and was then thrown straight in for his Fulham debut in the crucial clash at Cardiff.
"The Manager hadn't given me any indication in the week that I'd be starting so I was a bit shocked, to be honest," he told the official website. "I found out on Friday I'd be travelling and thought I might get a place on the bench so I was delighted to be told I was starting about two hours before kick-off.
"I was more surprised than nervous as I didn't expect it. The lads helped me through it and when you're out on the pitch you quickly forget about any nerves.
"My mum, sister, uncles, nan and granddad were all there so it was a proud moment. I just tried to enjoy the day and it was great to make my debut, but obviously it was a very frustrating result."
