Sampdoria's Antonio Cassano will not be making the move to Manchester City according to his agent Giuseppe Bozzo.

Recent speculation has the 27-year old Italian linked with a shift to Roberto Mancini's City but these reports have been scuppered by his agent.

"Antonio is very happy to play for Sampdoria and to be in Genoa," Bozzo told Calciomercato.

"Manchester City? No one has ever contacted us and it is useless talking about something that does not exist and on the voices of the press."

Bozzo admitted there was a respect between Cassano and Mancini but that is where the relationship ends.

"Between Antonio and Mancini remains a mutual respect because the former Inter coach has always spoken well of Cassano," he added.
