Confidants of Kiko Casilla have denied claims of the Real Madrid goalkeeper attacking Zinedine Zidane inside the locker room a fortnight ago.
It was claimed Casilla went for Real's former coach after he selected son Luca Zidane ahead of him for the last LaLiga game of the season. It was suggested the decision cost Casilla a €600,000 bonus.
However, a friend told AS: "Zinedine told him that because Luca was the only player in the professional squad who had not played a single minute, he would be playing against Villarreal. Kiko understood this and did not object.
"And I'm not sure with this match, Kiko could have received a bonus of €600,000. To start, the bonus is not that amount and most importantly, he needed many more matches to be able to get it.
"He took a photo in Kiev on the pitch with Luca Zidane to celebrate the (Champions League) title. All those who know Kiko know that by his character he is incapable of having a reaction like the one described."
