Former striker and pundit Tony Cascarino believes that Marcelo Bielsa will be excellent at Bournemouth.

Cascarino was hugely impressed with Bielsa's time at Leeds United, which saw him gain promotion from the Championship and comfortably remain in the league the following season.

However, he left Leeds in February of 2022 with the club very close to relegation at the time.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Cascarino praised Bielsa and felt he would do a great job at the Cherries.

He stated: "He plays fearless football. Sometimes you can come away thinking 'did I just witness that?' [when he was at] Leeds and the way they played.

"They can be beaten by anybody and they can beat anybody. When it's good it's great, it's much more than that, it's terrific. But it can be bad and suddenly everyone's going 'you can't play football like that'.

"He's got people defending, everybody getting forward and chasing everywhere all over the pitch. That's surely wrong, so I get that as well. You need some sort of pragmatic style to that adventurous play."
