Carver admits poor Newcastle finishing cost Everton defeat

Newcastle United No2 John Carver admits they struggled with their finishing in defeat to Everton.

The 3-0 defeat resulted in a fine individual strike by Ross Barkley and potent finishes from Romelu Lukaku and Leon Osman.

Carver said: "That's the biggest thing for me, clinical, clinical finishing. We started the game, we had two nor three good chances earlier in the game - probably the best start we have had for a long time - to a game.

"But they were so clinical in their finishing and we weren't again.

"They have to take a lot of credit for that."
