Former Chelsea and Real Madrid defender Ricardo Carvalho is happy for Eden Hazard over his move to Spain.

Hazard's final act in Chelsea blue was to score twice and assist once in the 4-1 Europa League final thrashing of Arsenal in Baku.

And Carvalho, the legendary Chelsea defender who has also played for Madrid, believes Hazard will thrive at the Bernabeu.

"He's a great signing," he told Marca. "I know him well and I've no doubt that he'll do very well.

"He's going to have more space in Spain. He's very fast, very strong when one on one and a team like Madrid with great players will help him."
