Michael Carrick insists this season's problems will be a blip for Manchester United.

Carrick is equally emphatic that it will be business as usual next season, even if there has been little cause for optimism during this one.

"Oh yeah, without doubt," he told the Daily Mail.

"I wouldn't think for one second we can't be back up there challenging. Look at what changed for Liverpool from last year to this. An awful lot can change from season to season."
