Jamie Carragher is questioning Manchester City's move for Nathan Ake.
The Citizens are likely to pick up the Bournemouth defender, after reportedly having a bid accepted by the Cherries.
Ake is a Dutch centre-back who will help Pep Guardiola shore up his team's rear guard next season.
But Carragher thinks two left footed centre-backs in Ake and Aymeric Laporte is not an ideal combination.
"I like Nathan Ake and I think he will suit Man City," wrote Carragher on social media as the news of the deal broke.
"But with Laporte a guaranteed starter I'm not convinced two left-footed centre-backs works?
"I know right-footed players play together but it never feels right the other way round to me! Left back or a back three?"
