Carragher: I'd be devastated if Everton relegated

Liverpool hero Jamie Carragher doesn't want to see Everton relegated.

The Toffees are in real danger of being relegated for the first time in more than 70 years, sitting 18th in the table and two points behind Burnley above them.

Frank Lampard's side still have a game in hand over the Clarets, but with six matches to go it's a perilous situation.

Carragher revealed how upset he would be if Everton were to go down, a viewpoint he feels many Liverpool fans would agree with even if they have enjoyed their big rivals struggling so much.

“If you ask me, and I think a lot of Liverpool fans, you don't want Everton to go down," Carragher told Sky Sports.

"For me, as a kid, a player and the job I do now, this is the biggest day.

“If you said to me we miss out on these two games next season, I'd be absolutely devastated."
