North American Soccer League (NASL) club Carolina RailHawks have signed 2014 MLS SuperDraft selection Daniel Jackson.
The 24-year old forward was taken by Real Salt Lake with pick number 70 in January's draft but did not do enough during preseason training to win a contract.
However, he has now been signed by the RailHawks ahead of the 2014 NASL season much to the delight of head coach Colin Clarke.
"Myself and other members of our coaching staff had the opportunity to see Daniel at the InfoSport Combine in January," he said in a club statement.
"He adds more speed to our roster and WakeMed Soccer Park is very advantageous to guys with speed. He is a young player willing to learn and makes a great addition on and off the field."
Jackson will get the chance to debut for the RailHawks when the new NASL season kicks off at Indy Eleven on April 13.
