Carney leaves Sheffield United for FC Twente

David Carney has left Sheffield United and joined Dutch club FC Twente. The Australian international has been linked with a move away from the English Championship club for some time now and penned a two-year deal with the Eredivisie outfit.

The 25-year old was sent out on loan to Norwich City towards the end of last season but could not help the Canaries from relegation.

He will now team up with fellow Australian Nikita Rukavytsya at Twente, who are coached by former England manager Steve McClaren.
