Carney Chukwuemeka is thrilled to have signed for Chelsea.

The England youth teamer has left Aston Villa for Chelsea in a £20m deal.

Chukwuemeha has signed a deal to 2028 and said today: "It was all rather hectic, but in the last few days I have not been able to get Chelsea out of my head, so I'm just happy and relieved it's all over.

"I'm very excited and can't wait to get out there, meet all the players and try to win games and trophies with Chelsea."

New Chelsea owner Todd Boehly also welcomed the new signing, confirming the permanence of the player, who will not start on loan: "Carney is one of the most interesting young players in Europe, so he is not we look forward to seeing him in action at Stamford Bridge.

"We are delighted to be able to bring him to Chelsea and add such a talented young man to our squad for the new season and the future."
