Former Bologna midfielder Carlo Nervo is backing their move for Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli.

Bologna owner Joey Saputo confirmed their interest in Balotelli earlier this week.

"It would be nice, I admit," Nervo told TMW.

"Bologna may be the right place to launch him after a year of difficulties, as happened in the past with many other strikers.

"Certainly Super Mario in Bologna can really make a great come back."
