John Carew says Aston Villa can be happy with their 1-1 draw at Everton.
Carew also revealed his own personal joy at opening his Barclays Premier League scoring account - the first, he hopes, of many.
He told AVTV: "It was a good point I thought. It is always a battle when you go to Goodison Park. I'd definitely class it as one of the most difficult games of the season so it was good to get a draw.
"We have had a few battles with Everton in the past and a draw was certainly not a bad result.
"I was pleased to come on and make a difference. I was delighted to get my first Premier League goal of the season. It was a good day overall.
"I was hoping and believing after the equaliser that we could maybe take all three points but in the end it was just the one - and we have to be happy with that.
