Cardiff City veteran Craig Bellamy will serve a three-match ban after accepting a charge of violent conduct.
The Welshman was involved in an off-the-ball incident with Swansea City's Jonathan de Guzman during his side's 3-0 loss on the Welsh derby on the weekend.
The altercation was not detected by the match officials but Bellamy was charged by the Football Association after a panel of former referees used video evidence.
A statement from the FA read: "Cardiff City's Craig Bellamy will serve a three-match suspension with immediate effect after he accepted an FA charge of violent conduct.
"Bellamy was charged following an incident which occurred during Cardiff's game against Swansea City on Saturday.
"The incident was not seen by the match officials but caught on video."
