Cardiff City players had no problem with owner Vincent Tan addressing them prior to defeat at Tottenham.
The Daily Mail says Tan took it upon himself to try to motivate the club's ailing first team by calling them together in their London hotel on Saturday night.
A source close to one Cardiff player said last night: "It was an unusual tactic from Tan but actually it went down quite well.
"The owners basically told the players to ignore all the outside influences and basically trust themselves to get out of the bottom three."
