Cardiff City chairman Mehmet Dalman is the man behind an attempt to buy Charlton Athletic.
According to the Evening Standard, a mystery buyer for the club was first revealed in March.
It was said that an offer of £30 million had been made to acquire Charlton.
Now it is revealed that man is Dalman, who will attempt to conclude a deal with Charlton owner Roland Duchatelet to buy the club.
All that remain are proof of funds assessments and other checks that will allow the deal to move forward.
Charlton fans will be hoping for a positive outcome, as current owner Duchatelet has been extremely unpopular at the Valley.
