Cardiff City chairman Mehmet Dalman helped the Glazer family's buyout of Manchester United, it has been revealed.
The Daily Mail says Dalman was only appointed chairman in July.
He previously served on the board from January 2012, drawing on his background in banking, having achieved an M.A. from the London School of Economics. He also studied International History and Social Administration in London and holds a BA.
Significantly, considering owner Vincent Tan's football knowledge is understood to be limited, he does have a background in the game and its administration. He played a role in the Glazers' takeover of Manchester United, having also had a trial for Crystal Palace as a teenager before he focused on his education.
