Cardiff City boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hailed the attitude of two-goal Steven Caulker after victory over Fulham.
Solskjaer admitted his captain had been disappointed not to get game time for England against Denmark last Wednesday.
He said: "He came back and wanted to do some technical work and get better.
"He has a great character. I just want him to perform for me, because if he does that the rest will take care of itself.
"He is a guy who hurts when we lose and don't get results, and emotional, sensitive guy. I am very pleased for him."
