Cardiff City boss Malky Mackay admits Roy Hodgson has asked after his England players.

Centre-back Steven Caulker and midfielder Peter Whittingham are two players who have enjoyed particularly good starts to the season, while former England midfielder Glenn Hoddle has backed striker Fraizer Campbell's case for inclusion.

Mackay said: "There have been some discreet enquiries concerning fitness levels of various players, that's what I would say to that."
