Championship club Cardiff City have officially unveiled Russell Slade as their new manager.
The Bluebirds have appointed the 53-year old as the replacement for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who departed the Cardiff City Stadium last month.
Slade arrives in south Wales after leaving League One club Leyton Orient where he spent a little over four years and was thrilled to take up the role under owner Vincent Tan.
"I'm grateful to Vincent for giving me this opportunity as Cardiff City is a fantastic football club," he told the club's official website.
"We have a large squad and it's more than putting out the best eleven players on paper. We need the best group of players out there with the right balance and chemistry.
"It's now about building a relationship with the players and installing a strong ethos and work ethic. That's what I want us to take onto the pitch every week."
Cardiff currently sit 15th on the tier two table after 11 matches following their 1-0 defeat at Blackpool which was Danny Gabbidon and Scott Young's final match as interim coaches.
