Manchester City are into the 2013/14 Capital One Cup final after defeating West Ham United 3-0 on Tuesday night.
City, who had won the first leg 6-0 at the Etihad Stadium, did it easy at Upton Park with first-half goals from Alvaro Negredo and Sergio Aguero, followed by a further Negredo tally, producing a 3-0 victory for a 9-0 aggregate.
Spanish striker Negredo opened the scoring inside three minutes when he headed home a lovely cross from youngster Marcos Lopes before Argentine ace Aguero doubled the advantage in the 24th minute when he stayed on his feet to chip past Jussi Jaaskelainen following a comedy of errors from the Hammers defence.
Negredo then made it nine goals in his last six outings in all competitions when flicking over Jaaskelainen from a tight angle just before the hour-mark.
Manuel Pellegrini's City have now secured their spot in the Wembley decider and await the winner of Wednesday night's other semi-final second leg between Manchester United and Sunderland with the latter leading 2-1 after the first leg.
