Capello: What I'd say to Pioli's AC Milan players after Inter defeat

Fabio Capello has offered his advice to AC Milan's players after their Champions League semifinal defeat to Inter Milan.

Inter are in control after winning the first-leg 2-0 with goals from Edin Dzeko and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the opening 11 minutes.

Former Milan coach Capello said: "I would say to the Milan players that we made a mistake in the first one, that they shouldn't think about it anymore but remember the mistakes they made in the second leg.

"If I were (Simone) Inzaghi I would congratulate the team especially for the first half, they turned the ball around well and scored.

'Then in the second half they sat down for a bit. The qualification? It's very close for Inter, if they play with this intensity they could also create problems for their eventual opponent in the final. If Milan always start badly, it means that (Stefano) Pioli can't find the countermeasures or maybe it's the characteristics of the team, with the midfield that has never been able to find the measures."
