Capello wants Man Utd veteran Scholes for Euro2012 campaign

England coach Fabio Capello wants Manchester United veteran Paul Scholes to end his international retirement for Euro2012.

The Sunday Mirror says Capello failed in his attempt to convince the 35-year-old Manchester United midfielder to end his exile before this summer's World Cup finals.

Scholes admits he regrets rejecting that approach.

Now, as Capello prepares for England's qualifying campaign for the Euro 2012 finals, the coach is ready to knock again on the Manchester United midfielder's door.

While Capello has deemed David Beckham to be yesterday's man, he sees Scholes - who is six months older than Becks - as a man for the future.
